The purpose of the SLAC Lessons Learned Program is to capture, share, and apply learning opportunities from operating experiences internal and external to the Laboratory.  The goal of the program is to avoid repeating past problems, anticipate undesirable consequences so they can be mitigated or avoided, replicate best practices, and improve work processes. The main component of the SLAC lessons learned program is the OPEXShare system, which is a searchable lessons learned system and database that contains experiences from SLAC operations and other DOE laboratories and private industry.
