Staff Emeritus Policy & Process

The SLAC Director is authorized to approve emeritus titles for retiring staff and Senior staff members, who shall have served twenty or more years with distinction previous to normal retirement date. The SLAC Director is also authorized, in exceptional cases, to approve an emeritus title for Scientific Staff and Senior Staff with less than twenty years of service and for other staff with unusually long service.
