The purpose of the Stanford Principal Investigator at SLAC Policy is to ensure that SLAC provides the Laboratory workforce with effective and consistent policies and procedures.
 

This Stanford Principal Investigator at SLAC Policy provides the requirements for Stanford Principal Investigators (Stanford PIs) to function as a PI at SLAC. This includes processes and guidance for how Stanford PIs can receive PI at SLAC status. Stanford Principal Investigators at SLAC are expected to develop new or contribute significantly to existing research programs of research at the Laboratory that contribute to the mission of the Laboratory.
