Accurate time keeping is necessary to ensure we correctly pay employees and comply with various laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. In addition, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). As such, SLAC faculty and staff steward taxpayer funds, which generally support the activities at SLAC, including salaries of SLAC employees and other labor costs.
SLAC faculty and staff must accurately report their effort and leave in a timely manner. The purpose of this policy is to outline the requirements for the accurate and timely reporting of effort and labor using SLAC’s timekeeping system.
