Standardized Software Toolkit for Engineering Analysis and Design

The purpose of this document is to define the process by which the standard set of analysis and design software tools (“toolkit”) are utilized at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, usage of these tools, and process to administrate those tools. These software tools are available to the technical staff (generally engineers, scientists, and designers, etc.) who analyze, design, develop or build solutions that are required to support the Laboratory’s scientific mission. The software tools are selected to address functional needs, one tool per each stated need, and the toolkit is designed to promote commonality across the lab and ease of access.
