SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy’s Office of Science. SLAC’s social media policy is influenced by and reflective of the policies and guidelines of both the DOE and Stanford. This policy outlines a governance framework for the institutional use of social media (representing SLAC) and for SLAC employees using social media for personal use. It is designed to help SLAC employees to make appropriate decisions when managing and/or developing social media content, always keeping reputational management top of mind.
