Scientific Equipment Connections to Domestic and Cooling Water Systems

The purpose of this document is to provide a policy to govern connections of scientific laboratory equipment to SLAC’s domestic water and cooling water utility systems, or any other source of unlimited water supply. Historically, weak and unreliable connections from laboratory equipment to water systems have been a cause of leaks and floods, resulting in extensive damage to facilities.
