The purpose of SLAC’s Issues and Improvements Program (IIP) is to enable continuous improvement in all elements of Laboratory operation through:

  • Proactive and reactive identification and analysis of issues that may affect the achievement of Laboratory mission and objectives.
  • Development and implementation of corrective actions to address identified issues and drive improvements.
  • Management of issues and associated corrective actions through the SLAC Issues and Improvements Management System (SIIMS).
  • Validation of action closure and effectiveness in addressing issues.
